Easter Sunday

Easter is always a great time of celebration but it is especially great being able to celebrate it here in Jerusalem.  We decided this year that we would all wake up extremely early and catch the sunrise service at the Garden Tomb.  Our adventure started at 5:15 am as we prepared to get a taxi with some of the other teachers from the school.

We were all very sleepy but excited.  After a short van ride we arrived at the Garden Tomb and stood in line with a lot or people from all over the world.

Once inside we found our seats and the service started.  It was a wonderful time of praise of worship with other believers from every continent.

After the service we went out to breakfast with some friends in downtown Jerusalem - including Chris, a boy we know from Georgia Youth Camps whose now studying at Southeastern.

Then it was time to go home and relax for a little bit before we got back together with the other teacher for a lunch.  The girls had a great time hunting Easter eggs and playing outside in the (very) hot weather.

Over all it was a fantastic day filled with God's presence and God's people.
