Well, it's official....we are moving to Israel! And no, I'm not joking. Hopefully in 3 weeks (september 3rd) the Borden Tribe will board a plane for Jerusalem and that will be our happy home for the next ten months.
Almost 2 months ago our work as youth pastor's came to an end. While we were distraught and a little confused as to why this was happening we knew that God was preparing something big for us. I don't think either one of us thought it would be this, though. Through a friend we had heard about the Jerusalem School and the opportunity to go teach over there. While we were driving back from our beach vacation last week the superintendant of the school called and asked us to come as soon as possible. We were blown away.
So now, in 3 weeks time we will both be teaching elementary students and both of our children will be receiving an amazing Christian education.....granted we have to go halfway around the world!
Please pray for our family! This is an exciting endeavor but many things must fall into place in the next few weeks.....such as storage for our stuff and our vehicles....monthly monetary support.....money for plane tickets....and the list goes on and on. But for now I am focusing on having the world's biggest yard sale tomorrow!
Where God guides, He provides....
