Updates

1.) Jessi broke her foot. I wish I could say it happened someplace really cool like at the Church of the Nativity. Or any other place than where it really happened. But alas, she jumped off the slide at KFC and broke 2 bones on the top of her foot. Cast and all. Then it started pouring rain the next day. Nothing like trying to keep a cast dry during the winter months in Palestine. 

2.) It's snowing. I mean really, really snowing. 18 inches worth of snow over 3 days. This is so not normal for this place and I'm trying to tell all of our first year teachers that. "Please come back and teach next year.......this is really abnormal."  We've had some fun times. But then the power will go out for hours at a time and then it becomes less fun. I may or may not have made biscuits just so I had an excuse to turn on the gas oven so that at least one room in the house can be warm. 

3.) This week is finals week (if we ever get back to school)!  Then it will be 3 glorious weeks of freedom!  And a vacation in Prague!  And sleeping in!  I'm as excited as my kids are.....mainly because I won't have to deal with all their homework!
